A week that's already crammed with concerts, the last week of July just got even busier with the announcement that Neil Young will return to Northrop Auditorium on the U of M campus on July 29. The date was posted on Neil's website without any ticket info, save for a mention that pre-sale starts on June 8 (which probably means general on sale will be June 11 or 12). Prices to other dates on his summer tour are going for about $50-$150. Dubbed the Twisted Road Tour, Young's latest outing sounds like another interesting twist on a solo set. He is partnering on the tour with Scottish folkie/guitar-wiz Bert Jansch. a hero of Young's, although the two did not actually play together at the opening date in New York (click here for NY Times review).

Another rock vet on a solo/acoustic tour, Jon Anderson of Yes, also just announced a Minneapolis date at the Guthrie Theater on Aug. 16. Tickets go on sale June 11 at 11 a.m. for $33.
