Thursday: Soprano Renée Fleming may have issued a CD of alt-pop songs this year, but her Schubert Club recital Thursday at the Ordway Center will feature no music by the band Death Cab for Cutie. Fleming will perform Mahler songs as well as music of Korngold and settings of Rilke poems by the barely-40 jazz pianist and composer Brad Mehldau. Opera fans will be pleased to see that Fleming includes music of Puccini and Leoncavallo, as well. When she performed here in 2005, she sang "Over the Rainbow" as an encore. (8 p.m. Thu., Ordway Center, 345 Washington St., St. Paul. Sold out, but stray tickets may be available. 651-224-4222.) CLAUDE PECK
