Wolves update: The Timberwolves had an uninspiring loss to Washington going into the All-Star Game break, and they had another at home to Charlotte coming out of Friday. After all of Friday's games were done, the Wolves were tied with New Orleans and Golden State for the seventh-best winning percentage in the Western Conference at .500, and now the Wolves are in California for their next four games. With Taurean Prince out for personal reasons, Nickeil Alexander-Walker was the first player off the bench Friday, and he responded with 13 points. Anthony Edwards had 29 points, but he needed 26 shots to get them.

Warriors update: The defending NBA champion Warriors went into the All-Star break having lost four of five games. But they came out of it with a 116-101 home victory over Houston on Friday that came with Stephen Curry (leg) and Draymond Green (knee) out of the lineup. Klay Thompson hit a season-high 12 three-pointers and scored 42 points in the victory. Green is expected back in the lineup Sunday.
