In Thursday's Variety section, I noticed "The cost of being single." However, the article went on to reveal only the costs of being a single woman, with no mention of whether the same was true for single men. Is there just no cost to being a single man, or do we not care because being a single man is socially acceptable?

Is it me, or doesn't anyone else notice how there has been barely a mention of the great University of Minnesota women's hockey team and the fact that it is on a 47-game winning streak going into the Frozen Four tournament starting today? How disappointing to see how women are not regarded with the same enthusiasm as any of the men's teams.
