Another winter storm has produced snow in areas of the southern Plains. Thistime, the Deep South will have to put up with the snow, instead of themid-Atlantic. Today, a band of 3 to 6 inches of snow will spread quicklythrough the Southern states, reaching central Georgia this afternoon. This storm will not be nearly as powerful as the past two have been.

Nevertheless, even a few inches of snow through the South cause great travelproblems.
