Metallica did it. Britney Spears and U2, too. Def Leppard might've been the first to popularize it. And now comes Josh Groban, who will perform "in-the-round" at Target Center on Oct. 19 as part of his cleverly named In the Round Tour. Classical music's favorite pop star – or pop music's favorite classical dude – will erect a stage in the middle of the arena that provides a 360-view onto the audience.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for $99.50, $69.50 and $49.50. You can buy them at Target Center's Box Office, online at TargetCenter.com, AXS.com; www.livenation.com, or call 888.9.AXS.TIX. There should be plenty of room for the big circular stage: Groban's show in town drew a modest 7,000 fans to Target Center in 2011.
