Rebuilding Together renovates and revitalizes homes to help homeowners regain a sense of pride in themselves and their community. A variety of positions exist: handyman, light carpentry and skilled home maintenance. Opportunities in the office, at events and more.


Assist the Somali Youth & Family Development Centers with communications. Help craft stories to demonstrate the impact of programming. Create a monthly newsletter and develop content.


Help Friendship Community Services in the Foodhub. Assist with distribution and provide friendly, respectful and attentive service. Restock items as needed.

BOARD MEMBER: Gifts for Seniors supports isolated seniors through social visits. Serve on the board of directors.


Assist at all three Arc's Value Village locations. Stock the sales floor and organize. Shifts available seven days a week, two- to three-hour shifts.


Doing Good Together helps people raise compassionate and socially conscious children through family volunteerism.


Kids 'n Kinship is a mentoring program for children ages 5-16 in Dakota County who need a positive role model. Volunteers will be connected (individual adults, couples or families) with children and spend one to four hours a week with a child, doing enriching activities. Ongoing support and training provided. One-year commitment requested.


Art, Heart and Hoofbeats works to rescue abandoned and mistreated horses. This mission is performed by synchronizing with human artistic expression. Work on-call to assist with publicity. Help to get the word out for unique stories.


FamilyWise Services works to strengthen families by promoting the safety and well-being of children. Hold a collection drive for craft items to be used by participants in the programs. Examples: 3-D models, paper flowers, tissue paper butterflies, popsicle stick tree/activities, kaleidoscopes, etc.


Help Reach for Resources work with teens and adults on outdoor nature programs. Must have a strong passion for birding and ability to work with diverse audiences.


Breaking Free works with those escaping prostitution, sex trafficking and other sexual exploitation. Weekdays in St. Paul.


Help Ruff Start Rescue save lives of at-risk animals. Filing, storing donations and organizing ad-hoc projects; one- to four-hour shifts, Mon., Wed., Fri. in Princeton, Minn.


Camp Odayin operates specifically for children with heart disease. Cabin counselors needed for residential camps in Crosslake, Minn., and Elkhorn, Wis. Work in pairs and live in a cabin and supervise a group of six to eight campers. Training for the five-day camp session is provided. Full medical staff assistance on site. Variety of dates and age groups.


Donors needed at one of Memorial Blood Center's donor centers; 1½ hours each time. Must meet eligibility requirements. Call 651-332-7000 to determine eligibility. Minimum age is 16.


Touchstone Mental Health assists those affected by mental illness. Consider holding a collection drive at your school, church or other community center to donate hair care products. Products especially needed for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) men and women.
