Gophers at a glance: Minnesota's 85-81 tumble in double overtime vs. South Dakota on Saturday ended its 47-game streak of nonconference wins at home and was their first loss in a "guarantee game" — matchups vs. opponents a home team has paid to travel and play — since 2006. The Gophers (5-3) turned the ball over 17 times and shot just 35.3 from the field. Minnesota did win the rebound battle (50-41) for the second consecutive game. South Dakota State at a glance: The Jackrabbits' only loss has come at Missouri-Kansas City, a squad Minnesota thumped 76-58 in its opener. In each of its seven wins, SDSU has led by at least 20 at some point. Notable wins include Illinois State and TCU in back-to-back road games.
