Tyler Sheehy was named the Big Ten First Star of the Week after scoring three goals and setting up another in the Gophers' weekend sweep of Ohio State.

The freshman forward scored a goal in Friday's 3-2 overtime win and had two goals and an assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime victory.

Justin Selman of Michigan was the conference's second star and Wisconsin's Ryan Wagner the third star.

Sheehy, 20, played the past two season in the United States Hockey League after graduating from Burnsville High School.
