Ebner's supplies anglers with crappie minnows, fathead minnows, leeches, small suckers and night crawlers, with every purchaser imagining that big tug on the rod and a fish breaking the surface. Joanne Rousseau is the third generation of her family to run Ebner's Bait in Elk River. It has been in operation in this building since 1948 this weekend is supplying its 68th Minnesota Fishing opener.
Photojournalist Glen Stubbe has been chief political photographer for the Star Tribune since 2011 and was business photographer and photo editor before that. He was named Visual MN Photographer of the Year twice in a row, first in 2015, and then combined 2016-2017.
