Drenching thunderstorms will be common from portions of the Plains through theOhio Valley into Tuesday, threatening the region with flash flooding.The region will be stuck between two competing air masses through early nextweek, which will focus on the thunderstorms, especially during the afternoonand evening hours.

Due to the steering winds, the thunderstorms will continue to move over thesame areas, with some spots potentially seeing anywhere from 3 to 5 inchesthrough the period.
