Greetings. I'm about to head over for practice, but I thought I'd share a little snippet of what Minnesota coach Tim Brewster said today. All the Big Ten coaches took part in a conference call with the media today. Brewster didn't say anything Earth-shattering. When asked about the quarterback competition he reiterated much of what he's said before: Adam Weber is feeling the urgency of being a fifth-year senior, Gray is doing a good job learning the entire offense, Moses Alipate has done well, too. But he did say this: "I think Adam Weber has stepped up…," Brewster said. "He has had his best spring." Seeing as Brewster has seen Weber through four series of spring practices, I think this is significant. The Gophers will likely name a starter coming out of spring ball, and I'm still betting it will be Weber. Have a good day.
