One more day of stifling heat is expected across California as temperatureswill again climb well into the 80s and low 90s across inland valleys anddeserts of Southern California. Northern and central California will not bespared either as record-challenging heat continues from Fresno all the way toRedding. The heat will also continue for the San Francisco area where recordhigh temperatures have been set the previous two days. There is good news however, as a weak onshore flow will setup starting latertoday which will keep temperatures down along the immediate coastline. Thisonshore flow will strengthen as we move into Wednesday and will bring an end torecord heat of the past several days for Southern California. For a comparison, the expected high today in Downtown Los Angeles is 93, with temperatures maxingout at 77 for Wednesday. Farther north, the heat will continue into Wednesday;however, a cold front will bring a fresh shot of cooler air to northern andcentral California on Thursday.
