Many of the designer showrooms at International Market Square aren't open to the public. But you can still shop their sale, clearance and floor-sample furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork, fabrics and accessories at the Sale Room. And they're marked 50 to 80 percent off retail. Merchandise is arranged like in an upscale showroom, not an outlet. One afternoon we found a Currey & Company silver metal chandelier ($425), Highland House end table ($837), Lee velvet lounge chair ($899) and a Barbara Barry floor lamp ($669). We spied the hot quatrefoil pattern in fabrics, pillows and an iron chandelier. The majority of furnishings are traditional and transitional style with a smattering of modern pieces. And owner and interior designer Sharon Clasen can help you decide if this goes with that. Head up to the smaller Annex on the second floor for High Point Furniture Market floor samples as well as Sale Room overflow. 275 Market St., Suite 196, Mpls.; 612-877-4173; thesaleroom-ims.com
