I've heard from a few EMTs today who were less than thrilled with my story about how an ambulance taking a patient to the emergency room pulled over at a Subway so the driver could use the toilet. Jerrold Winiecki is back home in Columbus after an overnight stay in the hospital, but the family still feels the driver's urgency took precedence over their emergency. The story has certainly generated some interesting discussion, aside from the wish that I be visited with intestinal distress.
