The Internet is full of rumors about new judges for "American Idol" – Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, Jessica Simpson, Chris Isaak and Steven Tyler, to name a few. At least, the latest came from the horse's mouth. Tyler, that is.

Saturday at an after-party at Studio 54 at the MGM in Las Vegas, the Aerosmith mouthpiece reportedly told TMZ, "I'm probably going to be a judge on 'American Idol.' I'm doing it. What do you think? I'm doing it." On Monday on the syndicated radio show "Kid Kraddick in the Morning," Tyler blabbed: "This beautiful girl from Fox came up to me and made an offer. I honored her offer… and it's just a work in progress. They mentioned it and I listened, and we're on tour, so I gotta give it some time." Meanwhile, Fox, which broadcasts the top-rated show with dwindling ratings, has not commented about the rumors, including the dismissal of judge Kara DioGuardi.(Ellen DeGeneres' departure from "Idol" is official.) Stay tuned. And watch for the spinoff reality series: "Judging Idol" with Simon Cowell as host – so he can have the last laugh.
