Three people apparently were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning at Lions Park in Golden Valley, police said.

Officers responded to the park about 4 a.m. after several callers reported hearing gunfire, Golden Valley Police Chief Virgil Green said in a statement.

A boy suffering gunshot wounds was taken to a hospital, Green said. Police later learned two people who were apparently wounded in the shooting were found in Brooklyn Park.

None of the injuries was life-threatening, Green said.

"This appears to be an isolated incident, and there are no outstanding suspects or threat to the neighborhood," Green said.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office was leading the investigation with police in Golden Valley and Brooklyn Park.
