Vince Vaughn was arrested in Manhattan Beach on Sunday morning on DUI charges, the Manhattan Beach Police Department confirmed to TheWrap.

According to a desk officer, the actor was stopped at a DUI checkpoint at approximately 1 a.m. He was taken into the Manhattan Beach Police Department on Sunday morning, but has since been released.

The desk officer would give no further details, though CNN reports, Vaughn, a Minneapolis native, was also charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing officers and was accompanied by an unidentified male passenger, who was arrested for obstructing officers and public intoxication.

While working on a film in North Carolina in 2001, Vaughn was arrested for public fighting. He entered a no contest plea and the charges were dropped after six months.

Vaughn's most recent onscreen credit is the 2017 flick "Brawl in Cell Block 99," in which he stars as a former boxer who leads a prison riot after being locked up.

According to IMDB, Vaughn is a producer on several projects that are currently in development.

Vaughn's lawyer and representatives did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment regarding his arrest Sunday.
