Now, for the first time, the threatened butterfly is being reintroduced into the wild in hopes of boosting the population. Researchers will be in an outdoor mesh "hoop house" counting and feeding the Dakota skipper butterflies, swapping out the specific prairie grasses being grown for the butterflies.
