BRENTFORD, England — The Vikings' first of two practices in the London area, before Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns at Twickenham Stadium, is a walk-through in part because it couldn't have been much else.
Not on the field where the Vikings are working on Thursday: a 60-yard grass surface pocked with divots at Syon House to the southwest of London. The house, the historical home of the Duke of Northumberland, certainly made for a unique backdrop for the Vikings' first session in England. The team, though, will hold more of a traditional practice on Friday, when it shifts to the Hazelwood Centre (the training ground for the London Irish rugby football team).
Quarterback Sam Bradford made the trip to London, but he wasn't practicing again on Thursday. Nor was defensive end Stephen Weatherly or guard Jeremiah Sirles, who are both dealing with knee injuries. While Bradford spent the walk-through away from the field, indications were Case Keenum could be in line to start his sixth game of the season.
Coach Mike Zimmer made no pronouncements about his quarterback depth chart after practice, but at this point, it appears the Vikings are headed toward another week with Keenum and Kyle Sloter as the active QBs.
