Apparently the new way to emphasize you're a Minnesota music institution is to get your own Lego set.

Following the lead of First Avenue, Minneapolis' most venerable record shop the Electric Fetus just began stocking the "Fetus Girl" mini-figure, a blonde musichead with her own record crate. Adding to the cool factor, her collection features LPs by all Minnesota acts: Atmosphere, Babes in Toyland, Charlie Parr, Bob Dylan, Hippo Campus and Sonny Knight & the Lakers.

The minifigure is based on a poster print by well-known local artist Adam Turman. She's being sold for $25 along with a limited-edition Brickmania retro turntable with the Electric Fetus logo on it, which sells for $35. Each set can also be ordered online via ElectricFetus.com.

"So excited to see this on our shelves now after keeping my mouth shut for so long!" Fetus marketing manager Dawn Novak said with a post unveiling Fetus Girl on Facebook.

An equally excited response greeted the news on social-media, including a proud tweet from Atmosphere frontman (and former Fetus clerk) Slug, who said, "Holy What?!?! I'm honored to tell you that @efetusmpls and @brickmaniatoys created this Fetus Girl Lego, and one of her albums is Overcast!"

The Lego sets are part of a new round of Fetus-related merch landing in time for Record Store Day next weekend (Saturday, April 21) and for the store's 50th anniversary celebrations, including a June 9 concert at fellow Lego player First Ave with headliners Real Estate.
