Under cover of darkness, an artful dodger covered a large swath of a Northstar commuter rail car with graffiti while it was parked near the line's most western point, authorities said.

The three block letters and accompanying imagery was sprayed on the car sometime between 2 and 3 a.m. Friday, according to Big Lake police.

A chain-link fence on the perimeters of the rail maintenance building was discovered to be cut, police added.

Authorities said they are reviewing surveillance video in hopes of finding leads to whoever is responsible.
