Wild to encounter a strong home-ice rival in Jets

Preview: The Wild surrendered a season-high six goals Saturday to the Blues, dropping it to 3-4 against the Central Division. Three of those goals-against came on the power play, the first given up by the penalty kill after an 8-for-8 run earlier in the week. The Jets wrapped up a four-game road swing Saturday with a 4-0 loss to the Sharks, finishing the trip 2-2. They've lost just twice in their past eight games and are 7-2-1 on home ice.

Players to watch: Plymouth native and Jets captain Blake Wheeler is tied with center Mark Scheifele for the team lead in points with 25. Winger Patrik Laine has 11 goals in his sophomore season. Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck boasts a .929 save percentage.

Numbers: Wild backup Alex Stalock is 3-1 with a 0.99 goals-against average, .955 save percentage and two shutouts in six career games against the Jets. The Wild has scored 10 power-play goals over its past six games. Winnipeg won the first two meetings with the Wild this season. The Jets are also 6-0-1 in their past seven home games.

Injuries: Wild F Zach Parise (back surgery) is out. Jets D Toby Enstrom (upper body) is also out, while G Steve Mason left Saturday's game against San Jose because of an upper-body injury.
