An income tax increase proposed by DFL leaders would raise taxes on Minnesotans who earn more than $200,000 per couple after deductions and exemptions and on single filers with incomes above $113,000.
Here's what the tax increase would look like:
• A married couple making $250,000 would pay an extra $478.
• A married couple making $500,000 would pay an extra $5,395.
How many filers would be affected? 122,000 out of 2.1 million returns.
