GAME 4
PITTSBURGH VS. VIKINGS
Noon Sunday
Wembley Stadium, London
TV: Ch. 4
Radio: 100.3-FM
About the Steelers' record: 0-3
• Coach Mike Tomlin, the former Vikings defensive coordinator, never has been below .500 during his seven years in Pittsburgh — until now.
• The Steelers are last in the NFL in rushing, but second-round pick Le'Veon Bell should make his season debut at RB after missing three games because of injury.
• Pittsburgh is a minus-9 in turnover differential. It has no interceptions or fumble recoveries. The Steelers had 35 takeaways in 2010 and have only 35 since then.
• The Steelers have lost at home to Tennessee and Chicago, and at Cincinnati.
• Pittsburgh is 28th in the league in both total offense and total defense.
Player speak: QB BEN ROETHLISBERGER
• The 10-year veteran threw for 406 yards against Chicago on Sunday but was intercepted twice, lost two fumbles and was sacked three times.
• On the turnovers:"That's on me, and I can't have it happen. If we don't turn the ball over in critical situations, or as much as we have, then we are in most of [our] games."
• On his July promotional trip to London: "I took it as this is just a money-making thing for the NFL, but when I got over there … there were a lot of different football fans over there, so once I got to see that, I got to see that it's going to be neat for them and a neat experience for us, so I've embraced it a lot more."
Coach speak: MIKE TOMLIN
• On traveling to London: "We're just treating it as a road game. Obviously it's a bit different from a travel standpoint from a distance, but probably not much different than West Coast teams going to the East Coast."
• On his team's lack of takeaways: "We've been behind, which limits the opportunity for those kinds of things to present themselves."
• On the Steelers' losing record: "We've turned the ball over, particularly in the red area, and obviously that takes points off the board. People have scored directly off those turnovers … you can't do that in the NFL and expect to be better than 0-3. We understand that, but understanding that is only part of it. We've got to rectify, we got to fix it.
