Nicole Cassellius pitched a complete game to lead seventh-seeded Eagan past second-seeded Eastview 6-4 in the first round of the Class 4A, Section 3 softball tournament Tuesday.

Cassellius allowed one earned run on two hits and three walks while striking out five. She also had a single, double and one RBI as a hitter.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead with two runs in the first inning and one in the third. After surrendering three runs in the bottom of the third, the Wildcats got two in the fourth and one in the fifth to reclaim a three-run lead.

Addison Goihl had two hits, including a double, one RBI and one run scored, Gabby Bierly had two hits and one run scored, Adeline Schussler had two hits, including a double, and Drew Buslee had a stolen base and three runs scored for the Wildcats.

Jenna Kuhn had a home run and two RBI and Ryan Clendening had a double for the Lightning.

Chanhassen 8, Burnsville 0: Sydney Schwartz pitched a perfect game with 16 strikeouts to lead the top-seeded Storm past the visiting eighth-seeded Blaze in the first round of Class 4A, Section 2. Schwartz also had a home run and two RBI. Daisy Lang had three hits and two runs scored, Grace Clausen had a double, two RBI and one run scored, Shayden Benedict had one hit, one stolen base and two RBI and Susie Tollefson scored two runs for the Storm.

Champlin Park 4, Irondale 3: Erin Reardon had two doubles, one single, one RBI and two runs scored to lead fourth-seeded Rebels past the visiting fifth-seeded Knights in the first round of Class 4A, Section 5. Tayler Kordiak had three hits and two RBI and Riley Leonhardt had 10 strikeouts in seven innings for the Rebels. Jada Wolle had seven strikeouts in six innings and two hits, Ella Harris had one hit and two RBI and Madi Urfer had two hits and one run scored for the Knights.

Spring Lake Park 6, Osseo 3: The third-seeded Panthers scored three runs in the sixth inning to pull away from the visiting sixth-seeded Orioles. Audrey Benderski had a home run, double, run scored and two RBI to lead the Panthers, Carrissa Roell had two hits and two runs scored, Hannah Roepke had two hits and one RBI and Jenna Nusbaum pitched a complete game.

Baseball

St. Louis Park 3, Wayzata 0: Kristofer Hokenson struck out 13 in seven innings and had two hits, two stolen bases and one run scored to lead the fourth-seeded Orioles past the host top-seeded Trojans in the semifinal round of Class 5A, Section 6. Nick Argento struck out seven in 4⅔ innings and had a double for the Trojans.

Mound Westonka 4, DeLaSalle 3: The fourth-seeded White Hawks held off a late rally from the visiting fifth-seeded Islanders for a first-round victory in Class 3A, Section 6. The White Hawks scored three runs in the fourth inning to take a 4-1 lead, but the Islanders scored one run in the sixth and seventh innings to get within a run. Trent Bowe struck out nine in seven innings and had two hits and one run scored to lead the White Hawks, while Aidan Mijelstad had one hit and two RBI and Cameron Peterson had two hits. Declan Higgins had two hits and two RBI, Matt Kulesa had one hit and two runs scored and Grayson Green had one hit, one stolen base, one run scored and eight strikeouts in six innings for the Islanders.

Monticello 6, Zimmerman 0: Logan Raab had nine strikeouts in seven innings and had two hits, two RBI and one run scored to lead the second-seeded Magic past the visiting seventh-seeded Thunder. Zach Anderson had one hit and two runs scored, Caden Ritter had two hits and one RBI and Jackson Pribyl had two hits and one RBI for the Magic.
