NOTES

PGA: The top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings qualified for the BMW Championship, the third of the four playoff events. The field will be cut to 30 for the Tour Championship on Sept. 20-23 at East Lake in Atlanta. ... Crooked Stick is best known for John Daly winning the 1991 PGA Championship as the ninth alternate. The course also has been the site of the U.S. Senior Open and the Solheim Cup, but this is the first time in two decades it has had the very best players in the world. This weekend's winner will earn $1.44 million. That's $240,000 more than the entire purse when Crooked Stick played host to the 1991 PGA Championship.

LPGA: Only four of the top 10 on the money list are playing this weekend. The Women's British Open is next week.

Champions: The next event is the Hawaii Championship, Sept. 14-16.
