Up until this morning, the best thing the Golden Globes had going for it, TV wise, was that Ricy Gervais is going to be the host. Quite frankly, I didn't give the annual awards show much thought aside from that. TV has always been an afterthought at this party, as the cast member of "The Office" and even Tina Fey seem trivial when seated in the audience next to Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep.

But, hark! Do I hear..."Don't Stop Believin'"? Yes, that's the cast of "Glee" celebrating their numerous honors. I wasn't surprised that it got noms for best comedy/musical and best supporting actress for Jane Lynch, but I was thrilled for Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele who were recognized at the best actor and best actress categories. Does that mean "Glee" could actually...win? Me thinks so.

Also, let's give praise for the recognition of "Modern Family" and a nod for Courteney Cox's role in "Cougar Town," one that gets bolder - and more endearing - every week. If there was an award for most improved series, "Town" should get it.
