The Meeker County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the deaths of two teenage siblings found in their residence on Monday.

Deputies were called to a house on the 56900 block of 340th Street in Harvey Township around 2:35 p.m. They found two bodies inside, later identified as 17-year-old David L. Cunningham and 15-year-old Jessica K. Cunningham, the Sheriff's Office said. Both died of gunshot wounds at the family home.

Birth records indicate that the teens were biological siblings. David Cunningham was a student at Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School.

There is "no known threat to the public at this time," and no suspects are being sought, Sheriff Brian Cruze said in a news release.

No other details have been released. The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office also responded to the scene.

In the past, similar circumstances have pointed to murder-suicide.
