Guards Seimone Augustus and Lindsay Whalen, who have helped lead the Lynx to three WNBA titles, got multiyear contract extensions from the team on Thursday. Terms of the deals were not released.

The 32-year-old Augustus is in her 11th WNBA season and is a six-time All-Star and three-time Olympic gold medalist. She holds team records for games played and points scored.

Whalen, 34, is in her 13th season and is a five-time All-Star and two-time gold medalist. She is the first player in league history with 5,000 points, 2,000 assists and 1,500 rebounds.

The Lynx (26-6) are the top seed for the WNBA playoffs and finish their regular season on Saturday night. The league announced that the Lynx will play their first two playoff games of their best-of-five series Sept. 28 and 30. Those games will be at Xcel Energy Center because of a scheduling conflict with Cirque du Soleil at Target Center.
