Freddy Gerard had two goals and an assist and linemate Tanner Laczynski had a goal and two assists to lead No. 6 Ohio State to a 5-1 victory over No. 13 Penn State in Big Ten men's hockey, ending the Nittany Lions' unbeaten streak at 11 games.

Host Penn State won the series opener 5-2.

Matt Weis, the third member of the Buckeyes' top line had two assists. Dakota Joshua and Austin Pooley had the other goals for Ohio State.

Tommy Nappier stopped 30 shots for the Buckeyes, Peyton Jones 37 for the Nittany Lions.

Nikita Pavlychev had the goal for Penn State.

No. 18 Wisconsin 5, Michigan State 2: Ryan Wagner and J.D. Greenway scored goals in the first 2:18 of the third period to lead the Badgers over the Spartans. Those goals gave host Wisconsin a 3-1 lead. Mitch Lewandowski scored twice for Michigan State.

No. 2 St. Cloud State 4, No. 12 Western Michigan 3: Easton Brodzinski's goal with 4:28 left in the third period for the host Huskies broke a 3-3 tie. Mickey Eyssimont had a goal and two assists for St. Cloud State, including an assist on the game-winner. David Hrenak had nine saves in the first two periods for the Huskies, Jeff Smith four in the third.

No. 15 Minnesota Duluth 5, Colorado College 1: Kobe Roth scored two goals, including the game-winner with 1:32 left in the second period, to lead the Bulldogs over the Tigers. UMD scored three goals in the third period to break it open. Nick Wolff, Parker Mackay and Billy Excell had the other goals for the Bulldogs. Hunter Shepard of Minnesota Duluth gave up an early power-play goal to Westin Michaud of the Tigers, but was solid otherwise with 18 stops.

No. 7 North Dakota 2, Bemidji State 2: Dillon Eichstadt's second goal of the season for the Beavers, scored in the middle of the third period, tied the game at 2-all and neither team scored again. Leo Fitzgerald had the other goal for Bemidji State on a power play in the second period. Nick Jones and Christian Wolanin scored goals for North Dakota in the same period. Wolanin's came on a power play as well. Michael Bitzer had 29 saves for Bemidji State, Cam Johnson 18 for UND.
