Lakeville North surges past Stillwater

• LAKEVILLE NORTH 42, STILLWATER 28: Lakeville North scored three consecutive touchdowns in the fourth quarter to win Friday and advance to the Class 6A state tournament. Stillwater led 28-21 after Stephen Wagner's third touchdown of the game before Lakeville North's rally. Junior running back Wade Sullivan led the Panthers' rushing attack with 227 yards and two touchdowns. Teammate Drew Stewart threw four touchdown passes, three to senior wide receiver Nick Fossey. Jadon Hatt and Alex Hunter each had interceptions in the fourth quarter to hold off Stillwater. The Panthers will take on Osseo next Thursday in Eden Prairie.

• EDEN PRAIRIE 48, LAKEVILLE SOUTH 14: Top-ranked Eden Prairie scored a touchdown on its first play from scrimmage on a 44-yard J.D. Spielman run and went on to its 40th victory in a row. Spielman scored the Eagles' third touchdown, too, and senior running back Alec Hetherington had two rushing touchdowns. Senior linebacker Carter Coughlin, committed to the Gophers, scooped up a fumble and returned it 60 yards for a touchdown. Cougars quarterback Will Heller threw two touchdown passes, to Clay Geary and Anthony Vote. Eden Prairie will take on Totino-Grace next in a rematch of last year's state championship game.

• TOTINO-GRACE 35, EAGAN 11: Juniors Ivan Burlak and Brady Bertram each had a pair of touchdowns to lead the Eagles past the Wildcats. Junior Tim Yetzer scored the Wildcats' lone touchdown on a 10-yard gain in the fourth quarter.

• MAPLE GROVE 21, ARMSTRONG 18: Quarterback Brad Davison made sure the Crimson moved on to the next round of the playoffs. He ran for two touchdowns, threw for another and scored for a two-point conversion. Thomas Barber scored twice for the Falcons. With under a minute left the Falcons had a chance with the ball in Crimson territory but weren't able to pull off the upset. Armstrong's inability to make extra points on all three touchdowns was the difference. Maple Grove will take on Burnsville next week.

For the Raiders, Daniel Ryan completed two touchdown passes to Christopher Perry.

• ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE 28, ROGERS 21: Senior quarterback Jacob Veire threw for three touchdowns, including one to brother Austin, to lead the Knights offense.
