LOUD & RICH
Wednesday: What do you get when you put together two beloved, 60-something singer- songwriters who specialize in unrequited love? Loudon Wainwright III, he of the cynical, sardonic wit, and Richard Thompson, he of the slashing guitar and penetrating lyrics, are calling it the Loud & Rich Tour. Friends since Thompson produced two mid-1980s albums for Wainwright in London, they first toured together last year, doing solo sets and collaborating on common musical loves, including vintage rock 'n' roll, classic country and Bob Dylan.
