Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty is lining up former Minnesota congressmen for his presidential run, as he's added Mark Kennedy to the staff of his newly formed exploratory committee.
Kennedy, a former CFO, is treasurer of Pawlenty's committee, according to his Federal Election Commission exploratory committee filing.
Kennedy was a Minnesota congressman from 2001-2006, when he lost a run for Senate to Amy Klobuchar.
The other Minnesota House member on Pawlenty's team is former Rep. Vin Weber, who was a House member from 1983-1992. Weber will be a policy adviser for Pawlenty and was co-chairman of the former Minnesota governor's Freedom First political action committee.
