Gould Blanche M. Gould of Bemidji, MN died Sunday, November 24, 2002 at her home, surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held in the Spring at Evergreen Cemetery, Northern Township, Beltrami County, MN under the direction of the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Family invites friends to attend a reception in remembrance of Blanche on Friday, November 29, 2002 in the Aspen Room at the Northern Inn in Bemidji from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Blanche Marion Schrader was born to Henry and Alfreda (Johnson) Schrader in Edina, MN. As a young girl she lived in the Minneapolis area where she attended school. She also worked for General Mills while in Minneapolis. She married Donovan Gould on January 10, 1948 in Milwaukee, WI. They lived in Milwaukee from 1948 to 1951 when they moved to Bemidji where she has lived since. As a young woman, Blanche was an accomplished horsewoman and a trained amateur vocalist. Throughout her life she maintained a love of singing and enjoyed traveling in the West. She was an animal over, bird watcher, enthusiastic walker and crossword puzzle aficionado. She was completely devoted to her family and in later years compiled an extensive genealogy. She is survived by her husband, Donovan Gould, Bemidji; two daughters, Linda Gould (Grant Blake), Arlington, TX and Terry (Dale) Stubbart, Livermore, CO; one grandson, Michael Blake; sister Annie Spargo, Bemidji; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Hubert, Philip and Harold Schrader; sisters Alice Dahlgren and Irma Griep.
