Brisky Helen L. Barclay Brisky, widow of Clarence P. Brisky, died on July 26, 2002. She was born in Jefferson, IA, the daughter of Nellie Grant Stevenson & Cecil Dykers Barclay. She was the granddaughter of 1868 Iowa Pioneers, John & Sara Stevenson and Captain Henry (NY Volunteer Calvary) & Cecilia Barclay. She was sister to Margaret Barclay Decker. Mrs. Brisky grew up in Hillsdale, NY and entered Albany State Teacher's College at the age of 15 and graduated in 1926. She taught languages and history in Hillsdale and was an aviatrix until joining the United Service Organization in 1941. She served as a USO Program Dir. in CA until 1945. At the end of WWII she married Navy serviceman Clarence P. Brisky. Helen & Clarence owned and operated The Huddle Restaurant in Mpls., MN for many years before retiring to Sun City, AZ. Helen was a member of NRTA and the Women's Social Club of Sun City. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. Mrs. Brisky is survived by a nephew, John S. Decker, Loudonville, NY; grand-nephew, Barton Decker, Oakland, CA; grand-niece, Alysia Decker, Baltimore; and several beloved cousins. Service will be held at Ft.
