Zimmerman Lucille A. ``Lucy'', 60, of Willmar, died on Saturday at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial wil be 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Church of St. Mary's with Fr. Joe Steinbeisser officiating. Interment will be at 3 PM at the Appleton City Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 until 8 PM at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home, with parish prayers at 7 PM. Friends may also call on Wednesday 1 hour prior to services at the church. Lucille Ann Zimmerman was born on November 21, 1941 in Benson, Minnesota the daughter of Frank Edward and Hazel Johanna (Ryan) Zimmerman. Their family moved to the Holloway area where she attended her schooling graduating from Holloway High School in 1959. She continued her education at the Anker School of Nursing in St. Paul and also received her advance degree in Nursing from the College of St. Catherine's. Lucy was the head nurse in the Emergency Trauma Unit at St. Paul Ramsey for 26 years resigning her position in 1994 to return to Willmar. While in Willmar she focused her time on Divine House Inc., Central MN Senior Care, her family especially her brother Marlo, who was her highest priority in all of her decisions. Lucy was a skilled nurse and a wonderful friend and a beautiful person. She was a member of the Minnesota Air National Guard 33rd Airlift Wing Unit, retiring following 21 years of service as a Lt. Colonel. Surviving are her sister, Delores (and Wilbert) Erdmann, Benson; brothers, Delmar (and Virginia) Zimmerman, Willmar, LeRoy (and Ruthie), Kansas City, KS, Will (and Sheila), Edina, Marlo, Willmar; sisters-in-law, Helen Zimmerman, Brooklyn Center and Rose Zimmerman, Henderson, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Marvin and James.
