Iliff D. Lyle Iliff, age 77, born on September 6, 1925 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, died on March 18, 2003 in Edina, Minnesota from complications of congestive heart failure. Lyle's motto was "I love the Life Iliff," and he lived this fully by excelling in football at Fergus Falls High School where his nickname was the "Ox," serving in the Navy in World War II, expressing his personal style and flair in his life-long career in men's clothing, enjoying sports, cars and the Arizona sun, treasuring family and friends, and most recently, an enthusiasm for reading. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Mildred Fick Iliff (Millie); his daughter, Cynthia Iliff Linzer, her husband, Jeff Linzer, grandson Joseph Ceithaml; his daughter, Jann Iliff Fisher, her husband, Jon Fisher, grandson Jonathan Fisher; and his son, Todd R. Iliff, his wife, Lisa Iliff and grandchildren Isabella Iliff and Nathaniel Iliff, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Lyle Iliff, and his granddaughter, Laura Dawn Ceithaml. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 6716 Gleason Road, Edina, Minnesota, 952-941-3065.
