Spangrud, Lorraine Eleanor (nee Carlson) Age 85. Passed away on July 28, 2014, 40 days after her high school sweetheart and husband of 65 years, LeRoy. She is survived by daughters, LuAnn and Linda (Hallett) Douville; sons: Lee (Pam), Larry (April) and Lon; sisters, Vivian Gloege and Rosalie Giese; brother, Glenn Carlson and eight grandchildren. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Lorraine was known as an expert quilt maker and seam-stress. Mom will be remembered for her eternal optimism, her sense of humor and unconditional love for her family. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. with a sharing of memories at 5 p.m. at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina.
