Survived by sons Daniel and Joseph Thies, daughter Mary Thies, five granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on January 6th, 2018. Vehicles are to line up in area #2 no later than 9:45 a.m. Service is to start promptly at 10:00 a.m. Following the service will be a Celebration of Life (11:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m.) at Gulden's Restaurant, 2999 Maple-wood Drive, Maplewood MN 55109 (651) 482-0384.
