Lewis, Dr. Fred 64, passed away Friday, February 24th, 2017. Visitation: 4 to 7 P.M. Friday, March 3rd, at Estes Funeral Chapel, 2210 Plymouth Ave N., Minneapolis, MN 55411. Service: 2 P.M. Saturday, March 4th at Progressive Baptist Church, 1505 Burns Ave., St. Paul, MN 55106. Viewing one hour before the service, repass will be held following the service. Dr. Lewis was a native of Daingerfield, TX, graduated from University of Houston followed by Meharry Medical School, Nashville, TN. Dr. Lewis served thousands of patients in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Survivors: Mother, Vernell Sublett; Wife, Gwen Lewis; Children: Jamal Lewis (Joy), Latif Lewis (Diana), Ida Huldeen (Butch), and Afton Lewis; as well as grandchildren (5) and other family and friends.
