Engelhart, Phillip Age 87, passed away 1/9/2017 in Bloomington. Phil was born 2/7/29 in Mpls. He graduated from Edison High in 1947 and went on to the UofM where he graduated in 1949. Joined the Marine Reserves in 1947. He was called to service Aug. 1950 and was sent to Korea where he was in the Historic Battle of the Chosen Reservoir. He became a member of the Chosen Few. He came home and in 1953 married the love of his life, DeLoris Evanoff. Moved to Bloomington in 1956 with DeLoris, Jane and Phillip. Started "Phil's Our Own" Hardware. Became parents to Ann and Katie by 1965. Went into liquor business in 1965. As children married, grandchildren came Chris, Katie, Jen, Justine, Emily and John - they called him "Papa". There was a loving connection with him. Later, great-grandchildren came - Parker, Aiden, William, and Lincoln who was born a week after Phil passed. They also enjoyed spending time with him. He was fun- loved going to movies, fishing trips, playing golf and bocce ball, getting together for any occasion with family, going to Las Vegas and any fly out offers. He'll be forever loved.
