Mason, Sophie (Majchrowicz) 88, passed away peacefully Nov 24, 2016 at Augustana Care Facility in Apple Valley. Born and raised in NE Mpls, then moved to Brooklyn Center. She is preceded in death by husband, John (Jack); son, Doug; brother, Joe Marowic; sisters, Ann Frasch and Angeline Majchro-wicz. Sophie will be sadly missed by daughters, Linda (Joe) Galvin, Sharon (Bob) Zelenka, Terri (Bill) Blau; daughter-in-law Carol Daniels; sister-in-law, Phyllis Mason; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and good friends. She is a retired cook from Osseo School District 279. Sophie was also a supervisor at Bridge-man's for 15 years. Memorial Mass will be at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (7025 Halifax Ave N, Brooklyn Center) on Tuesday, Dec 6, at 11am with a visitation at 10am. A private interment is scheduled for Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
