Marx, Clarice (nee: Steenson) age 87, of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed away on October 8, 2016. Clarice was a gracious and thoughtful presence, a friend to all she met. Clarice was born in Whitehall, WI on July 10, 1929 and grew up in Chicago and Des Moines, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1947. She attended Waldorf College and the University of Northern Iowa. She majored in art education and library science. Clarice married Donald Marx April 14, 1951. She had a 32-year career with Northern States Power, retiring in 1988. She was awarded honorary lifetime membership to ARMA (Association of Records Managers and Administrators). Clarice continued working in careers as beauty consultant, and in retail fashion and interior design. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald (1977), and her parents Arvid and Irma Steenson of Des Moines. Survived by brother, George (Marjorie) Steenson of Des Moines; nephews, David (Natalie) Steenson, Douglas Steenson, and John (Pamela) Steenson; grand nieces and nephews, Elaina, Anna Clarice, Isaac, and Mathias Steenson. Memorial service will be held 1:30 PM Sunday November 20, 2016 at Hosanna! Lutheran Church Chapel (Door 5), 9600 163rd St. W., Lakeville, MN with a gathering for family and friends, 1 hr prior to service, at the atrium of the Fountains at Hosanna!, at 9650 163rd St. W., Lakeville, MN.
