Wolcenski, Edward A. age 89 of Minneapolis, MN, died peacefully on July 19, 2016 at Catholic Eldercare, Minneapolis, MN. He was born July 9, 1927, to parents Josephine and Joseph Wolcenski. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tony, Joe and Hank; sister, Helen. He is survived by his two sisters, Sister M. Joachim Wolcenski, OSF and Sister M. Ramona Wolcenski, OSF, both of Sylvania, Ohio; sons, Edward, Mark (Vickie); daughter, Judy (Joe) Melichar; grandchildren, Joshua and Justin Melichar, Matthew (Jacquelyn), Michael, Jordan & Caleb Wolcenski; and great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Alexander and Brooklyn Wolcenski. The family is grateful to Terri Goral (his angel) for her loving support and friendship to Edward, especially in his final years; and also to the kind Catholic Eldercare staff, many of whom Edward loved to tease. Services will be held 10 AM on Tuesday, August 2 at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, 129 29th Ave NE, Minneapolis, with visitation 1 hour prior. A luncheon will follow the service. Interment at Fort Snelling at 1:15 PM.
