Erickson, Muriel Delores age 90 of Edina. Feb. 18, 1918 - March 20, 2008. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Muriel Erickson, of heart failure on March 20, 2008. Muriel married Allen Erickson on June 4, 1938 and became a loving wife, mother and homemaker. After Allen died of early onset Alzheimer disease in 1972, Muriel helped establish the first Alzheimer Support Group in the state of Minnesota. Muriel was a loving person a with a great sense of humor. Her life revolved around family, friends and travel. Her memory will be cherished. "We love you so very, very much, Mom." Preceded in death by parents, Ellen and Charles Ingebretsen; husband, Allen W. Erickson; son, David A. Erickson and sister, Eleanor Campbell. Survived by loving children, Mary (John) Norwood, Martha (Jim) McCormick, Janet (Bruce Prommersberger) Erickson; daughter-in-law, Karen (Tom) George; grandchildren, Kathy (Damon) Yaeger, John (Candis) Erickson, Ellen Prommersberger and Eric Prommersberger; great-grandchildren, Madison Yaeger and Macey Yaeger, step great-grandchildren, Madison and Logan; brother and sister-in-law, Charles (Honnie) Ingebretsen; sister and brother-in-law, Laverne (Owen) Johnson; sisters-in-law and brothers- in-law, Robert (Mavis) Erickson, Margaret (William) Proft and Janet (Len) Casanova and many other relatives and friends. Service Tuesday 11 AM at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. S. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation Monday from 6-8 PM at the Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave S. and one hour prior to the service at church.
