Balek (Haley), Cathryn M. Age 102 of Edina, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024. Preceded in death by husbands, James Haley, and Walter Balek, and sister Margaret Tupac. Survived by son Dennis (Jantze) Haley, grandchildren Michelle (Eric) Hudson, and Nik (Valerie) Larsen, great-grandchildren Emerson, Austen, Joseph, Lucia and Weston.
Cathryn was proud of her Iron Range and Italian heritage as well as being a Public Health Nurse for the city of Minneapolis. She was a crossword puzzle enthusiast, and tennis player, she loved to read cookbooks and was known for her sense of fashion. She was a long-time active member and volunteer at Our Lady of Grace Parish. Above all, she was a loving, devoted and generous wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, May 14th at the Church of Our Lady of Grace 5071 Eden Ave. S. Edina. Visitation 1 hour prior to mass at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
