Hagen, Thomas Edward age 83, passed. away April 30, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Helen Hagen, and brother Richard Hagen. Survived by his beloved wife of over 56 years, Julie: son Thomas E. Hagen Jr. of San Tan Valley, AZ; daughter, Heather Marie Hagen Freeman (Chad) of Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren Kalie Marie Hagen, and Ethan Thomas Hagen; nephew Robert E. Scott;, niece Machelle Ishman; grandniece Jessica Scott Toppari; grandnephew Bobby Scott; numerous friends and colleagues and his beloved companion pet, Attie. Tom grew up in Mound MN, graduated Mound High School '59, attended the University of Minnesota graduating with a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering, Institute of Technology in '65. Active in Boy Scouts, he attained his Eagle Scout ranking. Tom worked as an electrical engineer designing computer systems, military and aerospace systems. He was part of the team for Voyager Spacecraft 1&2 and drone projects for Mars landings. Tom was a competitive figure skater passing his Gold Pair test in 1965, twice Upper Great Lakes Senior Pairs Champion and competed at Nationals in1965 and 1967. He was a judge with the USFSA for over 50 years and continued to skate recreationally with a local Dance Group until recently. He was a ham radio operator and poet. Tom was an avid runner and participated in 5K's and a few marathons. Memorial gathering to be announced. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
