Emerson, Leona O. Passed away at the age of 93 on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Bloomington, MN. Born in Belgrade, MN to Harry and Clara Steele. Leona spent many years of her youth in Paynesville, MN. She lived most of her adult life in Bloomington, MN. Leona had always dreamed of being a Nurse so she could care for other people. She was a nurse at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis for many years. Leona loved being with her family and her friends. Leona was a child of God. Leona is survived by daughter Judy Unstad (Tom), son Steve Emerson (Jody Field), and grandchildren Erik and Christine Unstad, Jon Unstad, and Easton Emerson. And many other family members and dear friends. Leona will be deeply missed. Celebration of Life will be held on May 17, 2024 at Washburn-McReavy Werness Brothers Bloomington Chapel. Visitation at 10am, Service at 11am, with a luncheon to follow at the same location. A private burial will be at the Paynesville Cemetery in Paynesville, MN on May 18.
