Mark Edward Udvig, age 66, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, passed away on April 17, 2024 with his two daughters, Erin Peterson (Curt) and Lauren Udvig (Nathan), by his side. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; two granddaughters, Addy and Finnleigh; siblings, Joe Udvig (Kathy), Janet Johnson (John), Jim Udvig (Kerry), and Carol Dulski (Tab), as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen; brother, Paul Udvig; nephew, John Udvig; and niece, Hannah Udvig. Mark was a beautiful lifelong songwriter, gifted self-taught pianist and guitarist, and woodworker extraordinaire. He had a penchant for the great outdoors and all it had to offer, which included owning a hobby farm, camping at state parks, hunting, and cross-country skiing. Mark worked in various settings as a jack-of-all-trades and handyman, but he was most proud of the incredible music he created throughout his lifetime. He eventually went on to write and perform music that was inspired by his faith and love for God. In spite of Mark's struggles, he had a will and desire to keep trying. A very special thanks to the community at Metro Hope Ministries and special friends, J.W.S. and Scott- your love and generosity meant the world to him. A gathering of family and friends to remember Mark will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, Mark's family kindly requests donations (Venmo or website) be made to Metro Hope Ministries in Minneapolis in his honor.
